What Is Medical Intuition?
Hello, everybody. I’m Tina Zion.
In my first YouTube video in this series, I talked about how to recognize your intuition and realize that every one of us is naturally intuitive. Intuition isn’t something reserved for a select few—it’s a natural part of who we are.
Today, I want to explain what medical intuition is. I realized I had so much to say on this topic that I actually took notes so I wouldn’t leave anything out.
Everyone Has a Story
Every person has a unique story.
We all have the story of our current life, but many people also believe we carry the experiences of past lives into this one. Together, these experiences become part of our mind, body, and soul.
This is where medical intuition begins.
What Does a Medical Intuitive Notice?
A medical intuitive recognizes the patterns people carry within their bodies.
These patterns often appear as energetic vibrations connected to:
- Thoughts
- Emotions
- Life experiences
- Past experiences that continue to influence the present
A medical intuitive observes the relationship between the mind, body, and emotions because they are deeply interconnected.
Everything we think, feel, learn, and experience creates energetic information within us.
Everything Is Energy
Everything is energy.
Information is energy that remains within our body and our soul. Every experience leaves an energetic imprint.
Our body, mind, and soul contain layers of information, and that information exists as vibration.
Medical intuitives learn to recognize and interpret these energetic patterns.
Where Medical Intuition Differs from Western Medicine
Medical intuition explores information that Western medicine often cannot measure.
Even advanced medical technology—such as MRIs, CT scans, and laboratory testing—has limits. These tools are invaluable, but they measure physical conditions.
Medical intuition focuses on energetic information that exists beyond what current medical testing can detect.
Every energetic frequency carries information.
Some experiences leave only a light imprint, while others become deeply embedded because of their intensity or emotional significance.
How Positive and Negative Experiences Affect the Body
Both positive and negative experiences move through our body, mind, and soul.
Positive experiences often feel lighter and more refined energetically.
Negative experiences tend to feel heavier, slower, and denser. Over time, that dense energy may become stagnant, and many medical intuitives believe this energetic stagnation can contribute to physical illness.
Because dense energy is easier to perceive, medical intuitives often recognize areas of imbalance more readily than areas of wellness.
Identifying Areas of Imbalance
A medical intuitive may sense discomfort or energetic congestion in a specific location of the body.
For example, they might feel tightness on one side of a person’s neck but not the other.
That location provides valuable information.
The neck and shoulders often symbolize carrying heavy burdens. We even express this connection in everyday language when we say someone is “carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders.”
Our language reflects the powerful connection between the body, the emotions, and our life experiences.
Looking Beyond Symptoms
Medical intuition isn’t simply about identifying symptoms.
It’s about discovering the underlying cause.
Sometimes that cause began:
- Last week
- During childhood
- In adolescence
- Or, for those who believe in reincarnation, in a past life
Understanding the source of an imbalance provides valuable insight that can support healing.
Helping Clients Feel Truly Seen
When you describe what someone is experiencing at this deep level, they often feel profoundly understood.
Clients frequently recognize that you genuinely understand what they have been carrying emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
That sense of being seen and understood can be an important part of the healing process.
Anyone Can Learn Medical Intuition
One of the most exciting things about medical intuition is that it isn’t limited to a few gifted individuals.
Anyone can develop these intuitive abilities.
If this work interests you, you can learn to recognize the energetic patterns people carry and begin understanding what they may be struggling with.
Over the decades, I have continued to be amazed by the accuracy and depth of this work.
Even today, I still feel a sense of awe every time I experience it.
My Students Come From Every Background
People often assume that only healthcare professionals study medical intuition.
That isn’t true.
Many students have no medical background at all.
Some are:
- Reiki practitioners
- Mediums
- Intuitives
- Energy healers
Others are licensed healthcare professionals, including:
- Physicians
- Nurses
- Physician Assistants (PAs)
- Nurse Practitioners (NPs)
- Respiratory therapists
- Chiropractors
- And many other healthcare providers
Many tell me the same thing:
“I’m already receiving intuitive information about my patients. I don’t understand why it’s happening, but it’s accurate. I want to understand it, and I want to develop it further.”
I absolutely love hearing that.
We Are More Than a Physical Body
We live in physical bodies, but we are also eternal souls.
We are capable of far more than most people realize, and those abilities can be expressed with kindness, compassion, and the sincere desire to help others heal.

Who is Tina Zion?
I am a fourth-generation psychic medium, specializing in medical intuition and I teach it internationally.
I have taught my medical intuition workshop in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Europe, Canada, Mexico and throughout the USA. My books have won first place in the Body Mind Spirit Book Awards Organization and have held first place in sales in Australia and in Canada. I am a registered nurse, graduating from Purdue University and I have held a national board specialty certification in mental health nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Association for over 30 years. I am also a mental health counselor, graduating from the Indianapolis Gestalt Institute in 1997. I received a certification in clinical hypnotherapy from the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners in 1985, specializing in past life regressions. I trained with Michael Newton when he taught his course in The Netherlands and was or certified for many years through the Michael Newton Institute in Life Between Lives Regression. I began my training in Reiki in 1991 and taught hundreds of students over the years.
My six books are selling in over 35 countries and my book.
I have written three books on being a medical intuitive for healing others and also oneself. I have one Reiki book that is a step-by-step guide. for people at the master’s level, to teach Reiki to others. My other Reiki book teaches the Reiki practitioner to allow intuitive information to be a portion of your healing sessions with your clients. And I am proud to announce that my 6th book focuses on becoming a healing medium for the deceased and for the living client.
I am also proud to state that I am a contributing author in Michael Newton’s book, Memories of the Afterlife.
